Beginning
Our father founded the team in 1970 inspired by the success of his cousin's CHIQUITA Racing Team. It was the start of a passion, which already lasts for over 50 years. The first race car: Glas 1300 GT.
Evolution
The Glas 1300 GT was not competitive against more modern GT cars like the Renault Alpine A110. Thus, the Glas was further developed without the restrictions of a homologation. The weight was reduced down to 700 kg and the K-Glas 1300 SP was raced in sports prototype class.
By coincidence, a guest appearance with the former CHIQUITA Porsche 911 T resulted in a win.
Gruppe H
After 20 years of absens a new project began in 1991: Ford Escort RS2000. The car was built according to a very free set of regulations: Gruppe H
Historic Racing
In 2004 we entered our first historic race car: Ford Escort Twin Cam. The car was always very competitive in the Touring Car Class under 1600 cc.
Chiquita Racing is back
40 years after the original CHIQUITA Racing Team was founded, a Porsche 911 T from 1969 was restored to be entered in historic racing events.
Supercar Challenge
Back in modern motorsport with the Group CN prototype Osella PA21 P. The car was entered in the Dutch Supercar Challenge from 2014 on.
Stand-by Race Car
In 2015, while the Osella needed repair, a Norma M20 F was entered in the Supercar Challenge. The car raced only at two events, but secured crucial points to finish 2nd place in the final standings of the championship.
