Positive Roll-Out Race in Assen
16 September 2024
Roll-out after the crash repair went well and brought a bunch of championship points. All rebuilt components work as intended and a basic suspension set-up was found. Next time, we'll try and attack some of the cars, which were ahead in Assen. Too soft tyres cost a lot of performance, but we'll have better tyre options for the last race in October.

Crash Repair is Finished
01 September 2024
After the potentially season-ending crash at the Historic Grand Prix Zolder, we are now back on track for the Classic GP in Assen. The chassis and body repair are both finished. In addition, the suspension on all four corners has been upgraded and strengthened. Nonetheless, the race in Assen can only be seen as a test. The car was changed so heavily that a lot of set-up work has to be done, before the real racing can start again.
Crash in Race 1 Means Zero Points
22 July 2024
The Historic Grand Prix weekend at Circuit Zolder went especially bad for us. The race started off quite nicely with eight positions gained in just four laps. But after a Safety Car re-start, the Lotus suffered rear left suspension failure under heavy braking, which led to a 360° spin and a crash into the barrier. Now, we are working very hard to get the car back on track for the next race in Assen.
Finally Reliable
20 May 2024
After troubled years with a variety of reasons for retirements, our Lotus Europa has finished four BELCAR Historic Cup races in a row in 2024. That's a solid basis for further progress. The races in Zolder went trouble-free and at the end we finished 6th in Platform 2, which is nice considering the quality of the opposition. A new personal best lap time was missed by two tenth of a second. It will hopefully be reached during the next event in July.
Solid Start to the Season
30 April 2024
The 2024 edition of the Spa Summer Classic was blessed with cool, but dry weather conditions. The new engine and gearbox configurations proved reliable and every session went to plan. At the end, we could finish 2nd in class in both races, in front of several much younger 1600 cc cars.
Succesful Test Session at Zolder
05 April 2024
The International Test Day at Zolder went to plan. The engine has been successfully tested and completed the running-in phase, while the improved gearbox also has a very positive effect. A small problem with the clutch needs to be sorted out and then we will be ready to start the season at the Spa Summer Classic.
Preparations for 2024 season
17 January 2024
In order to bring an upgraded Lotus Europa to the start of the 2024 season, we consulted Germany's number one Renault Alpine specialist: Schäfer Tuning. These experts built a whole new 1596 cc Renault 807 engine for the Lotus. In addition, the gearbox is fitted with a significantly shorter diff ratio and a locking differential to improve acceleration.
